Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio Chapter and Hospice of Northwest Ohio offer anticipatory grief sessions. This program helps caregivers who have placed a friend or family member in a care facility, or who are currently caring for someone with dementia or another terminal illness. Alzheimer’s consultation program for Monroe County residents provides an opportunity for local families and dementia care professionals to meet one-on-one with a representative from the Alzheimer’s Association to discuss questions related to memory loss and care-giving concerns. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every odd month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Area Agency on Aging-1B, 14930 Laplaisance, Suite 119, Monroe. Free to the public.
