Steve Benjamin, LISW-S, joined Harbor in August of 1987. Mr. Benjamin is the Senior Vice President, Services and Legislative Affairs. In this position, he is responsible for the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Prevention at Harbor and leading the agency's efforts around legislative concerns.

Prior to joining Harbor, Mr. Benjamin spent five years as a Children’s Therapist and Treatment Group Coordinator at the Children’s Resource Center in Wood County. Steve served as the Youth Services Director at the Jewish Community Center in Sylvania, Ohio and has experience working in private practice, academic settings and contracted services for Family Court. 

Mr. Benjamin earned his Master’s degree in Social Work from Wurtzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University in New York. He completed his Bachelor’s of Science (Magna cum Laude) from the University of Toledo. Additionally, Steve earned his Academy of Certified Social Work (ACSW) and his Licensed Independent Social Worker status.
