CINCINNATI, OH – The Central Community Health Board of Hamilton County (CCHB) has expanded services to include youth at their 532 Maxwell Avenue location in Cincinnati.
In 2020, 13% of youth age 12-17 report suffering from at least one major depressive episode. And 59% of youth with major depression did not receive any mental health treatment, according to a published report from Mental Health America.
CCHB has expanded their breadth of services to now include children and increase access for those in need.
CCHB will provide mental health counseling and therapy for children and adolescents experiencing ADHD, abuse or neglect, depression, stress or anxiety, trauma, irritability or anger, family issues, impulse control, oppositional defiant behavior and other emotional health needs. CCHB will also offer services to assist youth with substance use or other addictive behaviors, medication management and case management.
“We are excited with CCHB’s expansion to serve youth in Hamilton County. Especially during the pandemic, we have seen an overwhelming need for mental health services in the community. CCHB can help.” says Gwen Jones, President of The Central Community Health Board of Hamilton County.
CCHB will continue to provide mental health counseling and therapy, psychiatric support, case management, prevention and intervention, medication management, medication assisted treatment and crisis services for adults.
