Cara is the Vice President of Quality Improvement, Access and Medical Records. Cara joined Harbor in March 2010 as a Clinical Therapist in the Youth Department. She transitioned to supervising case managers as an Assistant Clinical Manager. She was vital in helping to operationalize the Health Home services as a Team Leader and became a Clinical Director in 2016. Her role primarily involved supervising case managers and therapists at various sites and providing clinical supervision for students and counselors seeking independent licensure. She has shown versatility as she has been assigned various projects over the years to help with program development, such as starting up the partial hospitalization program and supervising various other programs to formalize procedure and optimize efficiencies.
Cara is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisor designation. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Miami University and her Master's Degree in Community and Agency Counseling from Heidelberg University. She completed her Master’s internship as a student at Harbor from 1996-1997.
Prior to joining Harbor, Cara worked at other local agencies doing case management, community based therapy, and working with individuals in the community with developmental disabilities. She has also lived in Minnesota where she was a custody evaluator for family court and in Michigan as a telephonic health coach.
