Harbor has a wide range of vocational programs that assist individuals age 14+ with career assessment, job seeking and interview skills training, and job coaching for successful employment placement based on individual strengths and interests.
The following is a list of our vocational services we provide:
- Career Connections is a unique program designed to assist people in improving the quality of their lives by helping them obtain and maintain employment that suits their individual skills and interests. We serve individuals with disabilities, adolescents, and adults who need career services and are referred to us by Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD). Learn more here.
- CareerLink is an employment program for those who are in recovery or dealing with an opiate addiction. Learn more here.
- CareerPath Program collaborates with the U.S. Department of Labor and the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO) to develop a comprehensive re-entry program to ease the transition of re-entering society by providing career counseling, case management, and job training. Learn more here.
- Career Services Program is for individuals 18 and older who are unemployed or underemployed and are seeking job opportunities. Learn more here.
- Hamilton County Youth Employment Program (YEP) provides subsidized employment to eligible Hamilton County youth, while providing opportunities for career development and credentialing. Learn more here.
- Hancock County Youth Summer Jobs provides subsidized employment to eligible Hancock County youth, while providing opportunities for career development and credentialing. Learn more here.
- Individual Placement Support (IPS) is an evidence based program supporting individuals receiving mental health and/or substance use treatment in exploring careers and gaining employment. Learn more here.
- Lucas County Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP) helps youth and young adults ages 14-24 who meet eligibility criteria with education, job skills/coaching and employment. Learn more here.
- OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) Lucas County offers helpful services to build and strengthen job skills for workers in a variety of industries. Learn more here.
- Summer Youth Employment Services is a five-week summer youth program for eligible youth ages 16-24 who are referred by Opportunity for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD). Learn more here.
- Work Experience Program (WEP) ensures that participants become familiar with workplace expectations and exhibit work behavior and attitudes necessary to compete successfully in the labor market. Learn more here.
