If you have concerns about the way your child is developing, we have a program that can diagnose and treat developmental delays and other challenges. Our developmental pediatricians and clinical staff have highly-specialized training to address conditions such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delays, genetic or language disorders, and learning disorders.
Harbor's Developmental & Behavioral Pediatric program specializes in diagnosing and treating children from infancy through 18 years of age who have conditions such as:
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Intellectual Disabilities
- Chromosomal Abnormalities
- Language Disorders
- Fetal Alcohol Concerns
- Not Meeting Developmental Milestones (birth - 5 years of age)
Clinicians, including therapists and psychologists, as well as developmental pediatricians, also work closely with specialists in main areas of practice, such as speech pathologists, psychiatrists, geneticists, neurologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. In many instances, your child’s doctor will collaborate with professionals in these specialties, to ensure the most effective and beneficial treatment for your child.
The developmental & behavioral pediatrician will not only offer an evaluation and possible diagnosis of your child’s development, but will identify his or her strengths and develop a plan to help your child reach his or her full potential.
